Eligibility Criteria:
- Singaporeans and other nationals are welcome to apply
- Non-Singaporeans must have completed or are in the process of completing an undergraduate degree at an independent university in Singapore
- Have obtained, or are in the process of obtaining, at least an upper second class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Applicants who are in the final semester of their final year of undergraduate studies are welcome to apply; however, successful candidates will only be awarded the scholarship if they have achieved at least a second class honours or equivalent results that meet the A*STAR requirements
- Meet the criteria for admission to a PhD programme at an independent university
- Have a strong interest in pursuing a research career in the CIS in industrial R&D labs, technology institutions, spin-off companies and/or academia
