• 230,000 Yen/month (1–2 years programs)
• 210,000 Yen/month (3 years)
• 180,000 Yen/month (4–5 years)

Scholarship Application Requirements:

1. Must be an international student (any nationality)
2. Must have official or conditional acceptance from a Japanese university (for 2026–2027 intake)
3. Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate program (Master’s or PhD)
4. Must have an excellent academic record
5. Must have a clear vision of contributing to your home country and global community after graduation

3. In Japanese or English (or certified translation)

• Research Proposal:

1. Must be written in Japanese
2. Use the official Honjo Foundation format
3. Explain research topic, its benefit to your country, and your achievements

• Recommendation Letter:

1. From current or former academic supervisor
2. Must describe your academic performance, character, and future potential
3. In English or Japanese (or with certified translation )

• Proof of Acceptance:

1. Official admission letter from Japanese university
2. If not yet received by 30 April 2026, state expected date and send later by email
